We’re looking for a Curriculum Review and Development Mentorwho can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 5 months.

  • This assignment seeks to Facilitate curriculum review and updating across three universities.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a tertiary qualification in speech pathology.
  • As a volunteer, you will develop staff capacity in curriculum design and evaluation.

About the Partner Organisation

Hai Duong Medical Technical University (HMTU) is a public university under the Ministry of Health of Vietnam. The university is committed to training high-quality healthcare professionals—including medical doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, medical laboratory technologists, and medical imaging technologists. Currently, HMTU is continuously reforming its academic programs toward standardization and international integration, regularly updating knowledge, skills, and modern technologies in teaching and learning. Students enrollment has been steadily increasing, particularly in the fields of Rehabilitation, which is in high demand both domestically and internationally. To meet the growing needs of society, since 2020 the university has restructured its Bachelor Program in Rehabilitation. This assignment aims to support these universities to collaboratively review and update speech pathology curricula to ensure course content reflects the Vietnamese cultural and professional context, supports national workforce needs, and encourages inter-university collaboration and sharing of resources. The volunteer will assist university staff in reviewing existing programs, identifying content gaps, and integrating contextually appropriate examples and learning approaches. Given the specialist nature of the work, the fact that speech and language therapy is a new field in Vietnam and the need to draw on international best practice while maintaining Vietnamese relevance, this role cannot be filled locally.
