Copywriting Mentor

We’re looking for a Copywriting Mentor who can volunteer remotely from home for 6 months. 

• This assignment seeks to support the Office of the Founder with copywriting expertise to write persuasive and engaging copy across all of their platforms. 
• To be considered for this role, you’ll need a relevant qualification in Journalism, Communication, Marketing, or a related field and a proven portfolio of successful copywriting campaigns.
• You will also be working alongside the team to conduct comprehensive research on issues that the Founder is passionate about and advocates for to produce well-thought through, high quality content. 

About the Partner Organisation 

The Graça Machel Trust (GMT) organisation, based in Johanessburg, is a Pan-African advocacy organisation which acts as a catalyst, working across the African continent to advocate for the protection of children’s rights and dignity. As well as this they work to amplify women’s movements by harnessing and promoting their contributions to the economic, social and political development of Africa. Through the Trust's advocacy efforts they seek to influence decision-makers to change policies and practices needed to create societies that value social justice, and promote and protect the rights of women and children.

The Graça Machel Trust Team is looking for an experienced Copywriter (senior level) to support their team. The volunteer will support content creation across different platforms and channels. They will collaborate with the communications team and the Founder’s direct team to capacity build them to effectively communicate the Founder’s work as well the work of the Trust.
