We’re looking for a Communications Capacity Support Officer who can volunteer for 6 months in Samoa.


  • This assignment seeks to build staff capacity to design communication strategies and design SCS communication products- signage, fact sheets, banners, videos, Facebook posts, web page etc.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a degree in Communications, Environmental Studies, or related field
  • You will be working alongside members of SCS.

About the Partner Organisation 

Formed in 2013, the Sosaiete Faasao o Samoa/Samoa Conservation Society (SFS/SCS) is a membership based environmental non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting the conservation of Samoa’s biological diversity and natural heritage. SFS/SCS works collaboratively with communities, the Government and partners to raise awareness on the state of Samoa’s environment and of the species within.

The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$2,262.00 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements include a First Aid Certificate
