We’re looking for a Communications and Fundraising Mentor who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Cambodia.

  • This assignment seeks to provide capacity building and mentoring to relevant team members to strengthen their skills in communication and fundraising 
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a university degree in relevant fields such as Communications, marketing, International Development, Fundraising, Public Relations, Non-profit management, Digital Marketing, Media Relation or Data Storytelling
  • As a volunteer, you will support the strategy development of a communication and fundraising strategy that is locally relevant, realistic and aligned with international standards and donor expectation

About the Partner Organisation 

ChildFund Cambodia is the representative office of ChildFund Australia – an independent and non-religious international development organisation that works to reduce poverty for children in developing communities. ChildFund Cambodia began working in Cambodia in 2007 and works in partnership to create community and systems change which enables vulnerable children and young people, in all their diversity, to assert and realise their rights. Our works focus on child protection which builds resilience and community-based child protection mechanism, inclusive education and youth empowerment. This assignment is vital for strengthening ChildFund Cambodia office’s capacity in communication and fundraising by mentoring staff, co-developing strategic tools and fostering sustainable systems and skills that enable the org to effectively engage stakeholders, increase visibility and diversify funding sources. There is a huge need to diversify our funding in order to secure resources for long-term programmimg. The volunteer will support this assignment through capacity building and mentoring, strategy co-development, system and tools strengthening, content development support, facilitate cross-team collaboration and monitoring and sustainability.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
