We’re looking for a Clinical Mentor (Speech Therapy - Adult Component - CP4) who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 3 months. The start date and duration are flexible and can be tailored to align with the volunteer’s availability.
- This assignment seeks to assist university lecturers in clinical teaching for students in speech therapy
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent qualification) and Professional certification or clinical license to practice Speech and Language Therapy in the home country.
- As a volunteer, you will support for curriculum development and the creation of teaching and learning materials.
About the partner organisation
Hai Duong Medical Technical University (HMTU) is a public university under the Ministry of Health of Vietnam. The university is committed to training high-quality healthcare professionals—including medical doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, medical laboratory technologists, and medical imaging technologists—while promoting scientific research, technological application and transfer, and healthcare service delivery in support of national public health goals. The assignment is part of a long-term partnership between AVP & HMTU. There is some flexibility about the duration and timing of the remote & in-country phases, which can be negotiated with the successful candidate. We are looking for a volunteer with a strong background in clinical teaching of Speech and Language Therapy – Adult component to assist in teaching the Clinical Practice 4 Module in Speech and Language Therapy for four year SALT students.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1,996 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
