We’re looking for a Climate Change Integration Mentor who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 6 months.
- This assignment seeks to conduct a gap analysis of Ponlok Chomnes’ climate change integration across program components in line with DFAT’s climate integration guidance.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a postgraduate degree in environmental science, climate policy, public policy, or other related fields and at least 5 years of technical expertise in climate policy, adaptation, and resilience, especially in development programming
- As a volunteer, you will strengthen the capacity of Ponlok Chomnes program staff and partners to integrate climate change into inclusive research and policy engagement
About the Partner Organisation
The Asia Foundation is a nonprofit international development organization committed to improving lives and expanding opportunities across Asia and the Pacific.Since 2019, The Asia Foundation Cambodia has implemented the Australian Government-supported Ponlok Chomnes: Data and Dialogue for Development in Cambodia Program that seeks to foster a culture of inclusive, evidence-informed policymaking by strengthening the capacity of local research institutions, civil society organisations, and government partners to engage in meaningful policy dialogue. The Ponlok Chomnes program is seeking a Climate Change Integration Mentor to strengthen the integration of climate change considerations across its strategy, research, and policy engagement work. Ponlok Chomnes partners with a diverse network of Cambodian research institutions, civil society organisations, and a dedicated GEDSI Consortium to promote inclusive, evidence-based policymaking.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 2427 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
