We’re looking for a  Career Education and Development Mentor who can live and volunteer for 8 months in Mongolia.

  • This assignment seeks to Finalize the Student Career Development Framework
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Qualification in Career education & development or equivalent career development specific qualification
  • As a volunteer, you will develop and lead advocacy campaigns

About the Partner Organisation

The Zorig Foundation, established in 1998 by the family and friends of late pro-democracy leader Zorig Sanjaasuren, has dedicated itself to continuing his legacy. In its early years, the Foundation focused on promoting good governance, advancing democracy, and addressing anti-corruption issues. Over the past 17 years, however, its focus has increasingly shifted toward youth development and education. Headquartered in Ulaanbaatar, through our community development projects, we operate nationwide, reaching urban and rural communities. This volunteer assignment is critical to the Zorig Foundation’s ongoing Sustainable Employment for Youth Program (SEYP) Phase 3, which aims to finalize a comprehensive Student Career Development Framework for the National University of Mongolia (NUM) and advocate for its wider adoption across Mongolian higher education institutions in 2026. Despite progress in developing career services at NUM, including the establishment of the NUM Career Club and initial framework drafts, ZF requires specialized expertise to refine the framework, integrate global best practices, and lead advocacy efforts to ensure its scalability and sustainability. A local person cannot fill this role due to the need for international experience in career development frameworks, advanced advocacy strategies, and familiarity with global higher education trends, which are not widely available in Mongolia.
