We’re looking for a Capacity Strengthening and Fundraising Mentor who can live and volunteer in the country for 12 months. Join the Australian Volunteers Program to contribute to sustainable development across the Asia Archipelago 

  • The assignment seeks to strengthen AHDMTL’s internal capacity in fundraising and organizational development
  • You’ll be supporting and undertaking a variety of tasks related to capacity building for the AHMDTL Team
  • You’ll need a Tertiary qualification in social sciences, community development, monitoring, and evaluation, community planning and development, or equivalent professional experience. 


About the Partner Organisation: 

Asosiasaun Halibur Deficiente Matan Timor-Leste – AHDMTL was established in July 2011 to serve and protect the rights of Blind and Visually Impaired people in Timor Leste and become an active voice and provide representation in all fora to advocate and raise awareness for the rights and issues facing by blind and visually impaired people in Timor-Leste, Currently AHMDTL active in al thirteen Municipals across Timor Leste and have 22 all local staff and has it Focal point in each Municipal. This assignment is vital to the long-term sustainability and growth of Asosiasaun Halibur Deficiente Matan Timor-Leste (AHDMTL), an organization deeply committed to empowering blind and visually impaired individuals across Timor-Leste. With limited local expertise in strategic fundraising, capacity building, and donor engagement, AHDMTL is seeking a passionate volunteer to help strengthen internal systems and open new avenues of financial support that are critical to expanding their reach and impact

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
