We’re looking for a Business Development Mentor who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online from home) for 1 month, then in-country for 10 months.
- You will be working alongside the team to increase WITAD's income generation capacity and ensure sustainable development interventions.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a qualification in Business or other related field, relevant work experience in business development or strategic planning, with a strong ability to identify growth opportunities, create and implement new business solutions, and drive long-term organisational success..
- As a volunteer, you will also support women involved in WITAD’s programs to focus on their business and develop marketing skills to become self-sufficient in promoting and growing them.
About the Partner Organisation
Women in Trade and Development (WITAD) aims to improve the income levels, social well-being, and leadership capacity of girls and women in vulnerable situations, to prevent sexual and reproductive health risks and break the cycle of poverty. WITAD's vision is a world where girls and women achieve economic independence, social justice, and equal opportunities. WITAD's core programs are: entrepreneurship and trade development, technical skills development, wealth mindset development and social justice advocacy.
The volunteer assignment is essential to WITAD because it will offer expertise that is currently lacking in the country. The volunteer would also support the building of skills for local staff and beneficiaries. They would play a critical role in developing an Income Generation Model that strengthens WITAD’s sustainability. By strengthening marketing for priority clusters, the volunteer will ensure that WITAD’s beneficiaries can achieve growth in their businesses, ultimately improving their individual livelihoods.
