We’re looking for a Research Mentor who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 6 months.
- This assignment seeks to support the Faculty in demonstrating the strength of the methodology/research idea on field experiments.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a bachelor's degree in Agronomy or Soil Science background

About the partner organisation
University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University (HUAF), a member of Hue University, is one of the leading institutions in Vietnam focused on agricultural, forestry, and environmental sciences. HUAF collaborates with international and domestic partners to promote academic excellence and plays a pivotal role in the socio-economic development of Vietnam, particularly in the central and highland regions.The volunteer will support the University of Agriculture and Forestry at Hue University (HUAF) in strengthening its research capacity by conducting and monitoring rice field experiments, while also promoting collaboration and networking by fostering connections between HUAF, research networks such as Researchers in Agriculture for International Development (RAID), and other institutions to encourage knowledge exchange and future partnerships. Additionally, through seminars, discussions, and ongoing support, the volunteer will contribute to enhancing academic quality and sustainability by improving standards and helping to build a strong, long-term research culture within HUAF.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1,996 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
