We’re looking for an Clinical Mentor who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 3 months.
- This assignment seeks to assist university lecturers in clinical teaching for students in speech therapy.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent qualification).
- As a volunteer, you will support for curriculum development and the creation of teaching and learning materials.
About the Partner Organisation
Hai Duong Medical Technical University (HMTU) is a public university under the Ministry of Health of Vietnam. The university is committed to training high-quality healthcare professionals—including medical doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, medical laboratory technologists, and medical imaging technologists.Hai Duong Medical Technical University (HMTU) is one of the three institutions in Vietnam that offer training in ST. At present, there are very few universities in the country that offer formal training in this specialty. Therefore, international expertise is essential to ensure the quality of training and to support the development of sustainable academic capacity at HMTU. In this context, the volunteer can provide clinical teaching and mentoring in Speech and Language Therapy, particularly in the Adult component, where there is currently a shortage of qualified and experienced local educators. The volunteer will work alongside HMTU lecturers to supervise students during clinical placements, develop teaching materials, and strengthen assessment methods aligned with international standards.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1996 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
