Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional - Organisasi Riset Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial dan Humaniora (BRIN - OR IPSH) is looking for an Academic Journal Mentor who can volunteer remotely from home for 6 months.

  • This assignment seeks to provide one on one assistance on the construction of research manuscripts, and suggest strategies on how to comply with the targeted publisher/journal requirement. 
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need an extensive experience in drafting and publishing academic journals.
  • As a volunteer, you will support the researchers' capacity to determine whether the journals have met the specific formatting, style, and content guidelines set by the targeted publishers.


About the Partner Organisation 

Research Center for Area Studies is a division of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities (IPSH), National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). The task is to conduct interdisciplinary research to learn about countries and societies with historical and contemporary connections with Indonesia. The scopes of research include a) comparative studies, focusing on the comparison between foreign countries and Indonesia; b) transnational network, focusing on networks of people, ideas, and goods/commodities; c) strategic analysis of Indonesian economic, cultural, and political role on the global level. The primary research topics in past years have been: critical spice routes; digital heritage; African connections; gastro diplomacy; science, technology and society; and environmental humanities.

AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
