Volunteer as an Alumni Representative
We're looking for volunteers to join our Alumni Representative team to support with Alumni engagement in the ACT, NT, SA and WA.
If you completed an Australian Government funded volunteer assignment (in-country, remote or hybrid), you can join the wonderful team of Alumni Representatives! You’ll help lead local connections and activities while staying involved in a range of Australian Volunteers Program initiatives. We’re currently seeking new reps in the ACT, NT, SA and WA.
Who are Alumni Representatives?
Alumni Representatives are past volunteers who voluntarily lead Alumni connections and activities in their states and territories and support Australian Volunteers Program advocacy. Find out who they are here.
Alumni Representative role
This volunteer role is all about community building, networking, and communication. The Alumni Representative team helps maintain and grow alumni connections by leading local activities, sharing their experiences, and promoting the program through events, conferences and their networks. This role also offers opportunities to engage with other people-to-people programs and highlight the program’s impact.

What do Alumni Representatives do?
As an Alumni Representative, you will:
- Lead connections and events in your local area
- Help strengthen the Alumni network in your state or territory
- Participate in various Australian Volunteers Program activities
- Share your experiences and inspire others

Support
This role is supported by the Alumni Manager, Myf Evans and Alumni Coordinator, Grace Panggabean. We aim for two to three Alumni Representatives in each state and territory so you will be volunteering in a small team with like-minded alumni.
