RAVN events

Connect with like-minded returned volunteers online and in-person where it's safe to do so.

The RAVN Online Seminar Series

While the RAVN community can’t come together in-person in some parts of Australia, we have been working hard to adapt our events and activities to an online format so that all returned volunteers can stay connected, regardless of location.

So we are very excited to offer the RAVN Online Seminar Series - an opportunity for returned volunteers to connect, share and learn together online.

The seminar series will be a regular event, run from May 2020 with topics and expert speakers informed by feedback from the RAVN community through the recent RAVN online engagement survey, as well as the postponed Make an Impact | International Volunteering Conference program.

October 2020

The Art of Storytelling with Dumbo Feather

  • Thursday 8 October 2020, 6.00pm-8.00pm (EAST), including a short break
  • In this interactive workshop, Nathan Scolaro, Editor of Dumbo Feather magazine, will share tips and ideas for finding your stories through conversation and reflective practices. It will help you find meaning in some of the key experiences of your life, including your volunteer experience, and give them a narrative arc. Come prepared with some story ideas and ready to practice your new storytelling skills. We hope returned volunteers will be inspired by the workshop to tell your own volunteering stories.
