Support to attend the conference
Recognising the value of your experience as a volunteer, a number of Australian Volunteers Program supported places are available to participants of these three exciting RAVN initiatives.
RAVN Peer Mentoring
RAVN Peer Mentoring is the Australian Volunteers Program's long-awaited mentoring program. Returned volunteers will mentor new volunteers while preparing for and on assignment. Thirty-five returned volunteer mentors will be recruited to support RAVN Peer Mentoring and they will be supported to attend a mentor training workshop in Melbourne on Thursday 26 March and attend the conference on 27-28 March. Support packages for mentors will include the mentor training workshop, a two-day conference pass, including most meals and the celebration dinner, return airfares to Melbourne from your closest airport, accommodation at Rydges Swanson Street and most transfers.
Finalists of the RAVN Go Back <> Give Back Competition
Eight returned volunteer finalists and their partner organisation representative will be supported to attend the conference in Melbourne to pitch their project ideas to a live audience (the competition is now closed and shortlisting is taking place).
Support packages for finalists will include a two-day conference pass, including most meals and the celebration dinner, return airfares to Melbourne from your closest airport, two nights of accommodation at Rydges Swanson Street and most transfers.
RAVN panelists, speakers and presenters
A number of returned volunteers have been invited to enhance the conference program as panelists, guest speakers and workshop presenters. These places are by invitation from the Australian Volunteers Program and DFAT only.
