About the Partner Organisation:
Equal Playing Field PNG is a locally registered non-profit organisation based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. We work across schools and communities in the National Capital District and have extended our reach through partnerships in other provinces. Our programs focus on strengthening Child Protection systems while educating children on respectful relationships, education and community-led initiatives to promote gender equality and prevent violence.
We aim to create safe and respectful communities where women, men, girls, and boys are treated equally and live free from violence. We work with children and young people in schools, as well as teachers, parents, and community leaders. Through our Respectful Relationships curriculum and peer-led education model, we equip youth with knowledge and confidence to challenge harmful gender norms and become positive role models in their communities.
A volunteer in this role can provide targeted mentoring and training to our team, helping to develop practical tools and processes that improve planning, monitoring, reporting, and collaboration. While we have a highly committed team, the technical expertise required for this assignment is not currently available locally. The support of an experienced volunteer will bridge this gap and support sustainable capacity-building within our organisation.
