We’re looking for a Project Development Officerwho canlive and volunteer for 9 months in Mongolia.

  • This assignment seeks to promote Mongolian art and culture in Australia
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need working experience in the field of arts and culture sector in Australia.
  • As a volunteer, you will support to research and recommend Australian artworks and artists for presentation in Mongolia.

About the Partner Organisation 

Arts Council of Mongolia (ACM) is a NGO, established by Mongolian arts, civic, and business leaders in 2002. Its mission is to support the sustainable development of Mongolian arts and culture and the preservation of cultural heritage. For the past two decades, ACM has established strong and visible infrastructure, governance, human resources. It has delivered significant programming through its fundraising success with local and international partners. The volunteer would ideally have knowledge and experience in developing transnational creative partnerships; presenting and touring performing arts (music and dance) and also familarity with the visual arts sector to assist ACM in developing a roadmap for the presentation of Mongolian work in Australia. ACM aims to have a portfolio of existing tour ready artworks by the end of 2026 and is seeking advice identifying works that are high quality and meet the needs of markets; developing materials and communications related to these works and assist with building relationships with possible Australian presenters. Ultimately ACM is working towards producing a new work for touring in 2027.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  
  • First Aid Certificate.
