About the Partner Organization

Ministry of Works, Transport and Infrastructure (MWTI), located in Apia

Ministry of Works, Transport and Infrastructure, delivers Regulatory services to Transport (Land, Maritime and Civil Aviation), Building Construction and Urban Planning. It also has an Infrastructure Division that implements some projects for the Government. Its other important role is that of Sector Coordinator. The Ministry coordinates the Transport and Infrastructure Sector as well as Energy.

This assignment is important as the Ministry has lost some senior members within the past 24 months. There are new graduates taking up positions, but they need mentorship from qualified experience engineers. Ministry is also implementing some big infrastructure projects and needs qualified and experienced engineers. A volunteer with such expertise will be beneficial for the ministry to transfer skills and knowledge to our young new engineers.
