AVI VSO Partnership

Welcome to AVI/VSOVSO_logo

Since 2007, we've been sending Australians and New Zealanders to fight global poverty by sharing their skills and experience with people in developing countries, as part of a global partnership between Australian Volunteers International (AVI) and Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO). Our volunteers work across a range of countries in Africa, Central and South-East Asia, and Latin America.

In response to the Millennium Development Goals we share a vision of a world without poverty in which people work together to fulfill their potential.

Instead of sending food or money we send men and women from a range of professions who want the chance to make a real difference in the fight against poverty.  Our volunteers live in local communities and work in partnership with colleagues to share skills and learn to achieve positive change together.

As a part of our disability inclusion initiative, VSO continue to encourage people with a disability to apply for assignments, if they have the desired skills and experience for the role.
