Volunteers needed for West Arnhem education program
06 December 2010
Are you passionate about improving the education of Indigenous
children in Australia? Youth Challenge Australia is looking for
volunteers to tutor at Warruwi School on beautiful Goulburn
Island.
The school at Warruwi has requested volunteers to work with
their students to improve education and learning outcomes during
each school term in 2011.
Volunteers will live in the community for ten weeks and make a
much-needed contribution to the long-term educational goals of the
school.
Indigenous education standards in communities are extremely
poor, and as a volunteer you will be a valuable part of the process
to improve these standards.
If you are passionate about improving the education of
Indigenous children in Australia, volunteering as a tutor is a
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to grow and develop your skills
whilst making a valuable contribution to closing the gap between
Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
