Volunteer Stories goes west to Albany

Volunteer Stories goes west to Albany

Through the Australian Volunteers for International Development (AVID) program, an Australian Government, AusAID initiative, everyday Australians are making amazing contributions to improving the livelihoods of hundreds of developing communities around the globe. To share in their adventures, triumphs and tribulations, Australian Volunteers International (AVI) invites you to a night of storytelling at The Albany Club.

Capturing the traditional art of storytelling, the Volunteer Stories event will see local community members take you on an inspirational journey through the cultures, global friendships and life experiences they have gained from their overseas volunteer assignments. Including an Accounts and Finance Adviser in Pakistan and Afghanistan, you’ll hear first-hand accounts of what it’s like to live and work overseas, and how you can become an international volunteer too. Learn about the financial support volunteers receive, the diversity of assignments and how volunteering is for all ages.

Don’t miss an entertaining evening of inspiring stories from around the globe.
