Live Below the Line this August
15 July 2010
This August, the AVI team are getting behind the poverty
awareness campaign Live Below the Line.
Live Below the Line is a new Australian initiative run by the Global Poverty Project and the
Oaktree Foundation. It is an
awareness and fundraising campaign designed to help Australians
understand the challenges faced by those currently living in
extreme poverty. Live Below the Line challenges Australians to do
just that, and feed themselves with just $2 a day - the Australian
equivalent of the international Extreme Poverty Line.
The AVI team will be raising funds for the Global Poverty
Project's Poverty Education Program in Australian schools, to give
students the knowledge and resources they need to be leaders in the
movement to end extreme poverty. You can join us at www.livebelowtheline.com
