FITRA (Sekretariat Nasional Forum Indonesia untuk Transparansi Anggaran) is a group of Jakarta-based NGO activists and intellectuals concerned about democratisation issues - especially regional autonomy and good governance - that have become significant since the beginning of Indonesia’s transition to democracy.
The organisation aims to build capacity within civil society via education, research and mentoring; and campaign for changes to budget policies and processes to orient them towards poor people, females and marginalised groups. They strive for social change in the budget transparency movement.
In order to improve their information and communication management as well as capacity training in creating and running media campaigns through the website, they have requested a volunteer.
The volunteer will need:
- Demonstrated advance skill on web and software programming
- Demonstrated advance skill on designing information management system
In addition to professional expertise, volunteers need skills in training and developing others, applied awareness and sensitivity to cross-cultural communication, patience, tolerance and flexibility. They manage with good humour the daily challenges of working with very limited resources.
