Onyose Trust is a Namibian Non Government Organisation for People with Disabilities. Their philosophy is that every person with a disability should achieve the highest possible level of personal independence and social participation.
The main programs are a Community Based Rehabilitation Program, a Day Program and a Community Education Program. There are also craft activities at the centre.
Due to a shortage of suitably skilled people in the region, the Trust requires a physiotherapist to work with people with disabilities in the day programme as well as the community rehabilitation programme. Further duties would include supporting the development of the programs and the organisation as a whole, to achieve sustainable change and improvements for people with disabilities.
The suitable applicant will hold relevant qualifications and experience, such as success in building the skills of others through formal and/or informal training and coaching. You will also have previously worked with stakeholders and facilitated the work of others to achieve an agreed outcome
Central to this assignment is the ability to cope with cultural isolation and a different standard of living as well as a preparedness to work with limited resources within a challenging environment.
