Paediatric Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy Trainer

• Paediatric focussed assignment based at an orphanage
The Kianh Foundation has worked with the Hoi An Orphanage since 2001 and in that time has established and maintained flourishing physiotherapy and special education programmes for disabled children, provided surgeries and medical care as well as helped with building maintenance.
In recent years, it has become apparent that an increasing number of disabled children who are not orphans are being surrendered to the orphanage in order to benefit from the programmes.
For this reason, The Kianh Foundation has embarked upon a new project to open a day centre for disabled children in Dien Ban, which is where many of these children come from. As well as training in gross motor skills, the organisation also train staff to work with fine motor and oromotor skills, with emphasis on the development of functional skills.
As this is traditionally the role of the occupational therapist, this role would be suitable for either an appropriately experienced physio or occupational therapist.
