Infection Control Adviser |
• Iconic Balinese hospital
• Oversee infection control practices
Sanglah Hospital, the largest of the 33 hospitals on Bali, is a 738-bed government-owned enterprise that serves as a referral hospital for the provinces of Bali, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) and Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB).
The hospital offers an extensive range of specialist services, including cardiology, intensive care, burns and trauma, and a busy accident and emergency service, as well as more routine obstetrics and gynaecology, surgery, medicine, paediatrics and diagnostic services.
As a result of the Bali bombing in 2002, AusAID has implemented a major project to build a new burns unit and train staff in improved patient care and use of new technology.
As part of their determination to deliver improved clinical services and practices across the hospital, they now require a suitably experienced person to oversee infection control practice within the hospital. This will involve work collaboratively with local counterpart to reinforce best practice, develop new and improve existing policies, protocols and procedures.
The suitable applicant will hold appropriate infection control qualifications, have wide ranging clinical exposure and be a confident trainer and mentor.
